When I was contemplating living my corporate job, one of the driving reasons was that I didn't feel like I was fulfilling my call. Apart from helping my team achieve their goals on a daily basis I didn't feel like I was truly making the world a better place or making a difference to anyone's life. Do you ever feel like that?
Back in those days I had a post-it note stuck on my screen that read "Be kind , for everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about". As I get more and more into my Yoga teaching and learning , I realise every day that my call is indeed to make a difference in people's lives and help then unravel their own , help them fight those battles and maybe even win some of them.
People approach yoga for all sorts of reasons , they want to be fitter , loose weight, learn something new , sleep better etc...but no-one is prepared for the deep impact that this ancient discipline can have on our lives. The first session for many is a revelation, things begin to unravel, tears are shed, snores are shared , limits are tried ( physical and mental) and I have the privilege to facilitate and witness some of it.
Whatever your battles may be right now, know that you are not alone, we were never separate, we all have the same light within us and together we are One ... Namaste and Happy Easter.
Thank you for reading
