As the Spring equinox approaches why not start your day with a little treat to blow the Winter cob-webs away.Here is the green smoothie recipe from the Spring 2017 workshop, enjoy!
Here is what you need :
1 Organic apple - washed with skin left on, core removed
3 large table spoons of fresh pineapple ( frozen can also work)
1 large handful of organic washed spinach
Water to cover
juice of 1/2 lime
1 teaspoon of Neal's Yard organic greens complex (optional)
The apple will provide the fibre, the pineapple reduces inflammation, spinach is full of minerals and vitamins and help stabilise your blood sugar levels, the lime gives you a vitamin C boost and water is the essential element that helps all of the above work in harmony with our natural bodily detoxing and healing abilities.
Blitz it all in a blender until smooth, sip a small glass slowly before breakfast.
You can modify the proportions to taste.
